Our Patrons
We are so pleased to have two Patrons, who despite their other commitments, still find time to participate in our Community Initiatives.
A well-known member of The Bachelors group, Dec played at the inaugural Millennium fund raising event and donated their fee to ensure our Laser seed money target was achieved. Two decades later, Dec agreed to become our first Patron.
Despite her heavy workload as Madam Deputy Speaker and her dedication to the community as the MP for Sussex Weald, after visiting our charity's unit, hardworking Nusrat agreed to become a Patron.
Our Trustees
Trustee appointments are honorary unpaid voluntary offices. We believe donations should be spent on providing equipment, training and healthcare education — benefitting the community, both locally and abroad.
Following the Millennium fundraising event success, businessman Bob founded Medi Tech Trust in 2002. Bob still acts as Honorary CEO and driving force to achieve the various initiatives to benefit the community, both locally and abroad.
Consultant Urologist Graham agreed to become a founder and Honorary CMO. Over two decades Graham travelled to various hospitals in 15 low income countries in order to train local surgeons in modern minimal invasive surgery.
When our founding treasurer relocated in 2012, Jonathan readily agreed to become our Honorary Treasurer, which he held until 2025. Jonathan still assists as a volunteer to process donated items.
For over two decades, Sandra has been actively involved in sharing the charity's many achievements with the press and with social media. Sandra was appointed as a trustee in 2019.
Caroline assisted in the training of many nurses during overseas visits. In recognition of her invaluable involvement, Caroline was appointed as a trustee in 2019.
John first became involved as a volunteer when he retired. His employment experience has proved beneficial to the charity so John was invited to become a trustee in December 2025.
Paul has raised much needed funds for our charity over the years. Paul was also appointed in December 2025 as his previous involvement has been beneficial to our charity.
The people day to day
A small but dedicated team keeps our operations running — from warehouse logistics to community outreach and overseas medical support.
Core Staff
Helen works closely with the Honorary CEO in the administration of the various programmes and activities undertaken by the charity.
Stuart ensures all items are correctly stored and shipped. He makes collections from surgeries and hospitals throughout the county as well as bulky donor donations.
Maria handles day to day enquiries received from members of the public who want to donate their surplus medical supplies and arranges collections. She also trains volunteers.
When not actioning enquiries or organising collections or deliveries, Julia is involved in the packing and despatch processes and the training of volunteers.
Honorary Roles
Jose developed a data programme which records every item received and donated to local and overseas communities through our MediGive Initiative hospitals.
Medical director Suzie was appointed in 2022. She leads a team of fellow urologists who make regular visits overseas to train others in uro-gynaecology.
As well as volunteering, Dr. Richard is actively involved in Anaesthesia and Critical Care training of medical staff in low income countries.
Giving their time to change lives
We are fortunate to have a small but dedicated group of volunteers who give up a few hours of their time each week to sort, record and pack donated medical supplies for local and overseas communities.
During the last year alone, they have processed over 3 million items that would otherwise have been incinerated or sent to landfill.
